I’ve always been passionate about IT and started using a PC (actually an IBM compatible i386) when I still was a kid. When in high school I had a temporary pause from technology, as I focused on my studies, only to get back to it a few years later..

Since ~2005, more or less, I have been using Windows (first) and GNU/Linux soon after. I attended a computer course as Data Networks Technician, practiced with earlier versions of Windows Server OS, ISA Firewall, VPNs and such. Attended a stage as HW/SW Technician in a lab-store and then worked for a very short period in the same area, before life came knocking at my door. My mother got sick and I took care of her until she passed away. Now I’m living with my dad, who is also ill and I am again not able to get a full-time job, but am currently looking for a remote/side one.

What am I good at!?

  1. For end users
  • I am quite proficient with Windows Client Operating Systems, from XP to 11 and I am able to troubleshoot and fix issues like: virus infections, malfunctioning devices/printers, Wi-Fi/Internet connection, gaming performance, Windows Updates, Privacy and Security.
  • Networking: I can configure most Network devices, like Router/Access Point/Modem etc., forward ports to enable services on your Local Area Network (Web/FTP server, sharing software like BitTorrent..)
  1. Hosted services
  • I am quite proficient with GNU/Linux Client and Server Operating Systems: I mainly work with Debian, but have no issue with most Linux distributions. I can install/setup/configure the majority of Cloud/Internet services to self-host your own infrastructure, at home or by an external VPS, Dedicated Server and such.
  • I can monitor your server(s) for realtime availability, used resources (CPU|RAM|DISK|NET) and overall performances.

I work as a freelance by an “occasional performance contract” or a “coordinated and continuous collaboration contract”, depending on the job type.
